Alex Jackson of Littlerock appeared in court Thursday for murder charges after four pit bulls he owned reportedly attacked and killed Pamela Devitt, also of Littlerock, on May 9.

Devitt died of blood loss attributed to the some 150 puncture wounds from the attack.

Jackson, 29, was arrested at his home on May 30 and held in lieu of $1,050,000 bail.

He was arraigned at the Antelope Valley courthouse Thursday, according to a spokeswoman for the District Attorney’s office. A pre-trial is scheduled for Oct. 7.
