Tony Potts Hosts Local Youth Project Fundraiser.
[view:node_ad=5] Best known for his role as correspondent and weekend host on Access Hollywood, local resident Tony Potts will host the Santa Clarita Valley Youth Project’s (SCVYP) Annual Fundraiser this year. The 2nd annual “Hold ‘Em Not Hassle ‘Em” celebrity-studded poker tournament will be held at the TPC golf course in Valencia on Saturday, November 1.All proceeds will benefit the SCVYP, a program for teenagers dealing with life’s challenging issues. From drug addictions to peer pressure, the SCVYP has been providing intervention and prevention services to teens at the six local high schools for the past eight years, and has recently expanded services to five junior high schools as well. The Texas Hold ‘Em fundraising event will provide needed funds for the SCVYP to continue its good work with the SCV youth.
“I have been a resident of Santa Clarita for five years and I am honored to be involved with the Santa Clarita Valley Youth Project,” said Potts. “It’s an honor to be able to lend support to a group that works hard to help our youth and our community.”
The fundraiser will feature many more celebrity guests, including April Scott (Author, Model, Deal or No Deal,) Mark and Brian and co-host Preva (KLOS,) Larry Elder (Radio host, KABC,) Dave Foley (Actor, NewsRadio, A Bugs life, Kids in the Hall,) Sean Valentine (Radio host, KBIG 104,) Trichelle (MTV’s Real World,) and John Ziegler (Talk show host/film producer.)
“We are thrilled to have the addition of Tony Potts to our fundraising event,” said Kim Goldman, SCVYP executive director. “We expect this event will once again be a sell out at the TPC and are confident that our guests will enjoy a night of fun, that will hopefully mean big money for the Youth Project.”
