Local Cheer Team Needs Votes For Be Strong Competition

cheerThe California Flyers, a local All-Star competitive cheer team, has made it to the finals in a Be Strong competition by the American Cheerleader Magazine.  A video submitted by the team to the American Cheerleader’s website has been selected as one of 20 finalists in a race for a $5,000 prize and a part in a Be Strong Got Chocolate Milk? advertisement.

cheer2You can view the California Flyers’ Pro-X team’s video by clicking here. The final date to vote for the California Flyers is December 2.  For each vote, one dollar is given to Cheer for a Cure, a fundraising organization for cancer research and awareness.

The California Flyers are in their 13th season in All-Star cheer competitions.  Based out of Gymcheer USA, the fist gym in the SCV focused on competition cheer, the California Flyers have four full-season cheer teams for ages five through adult.

If they win, the Pro-X team will use the funds for trips to San Jose, CA; Las Vegas, NV; Atlanta, GA; and several other California competitions to get a bid at the World’s competition in April 2012.
