A sheriff’s deputy spent the night in the hospital after being injured in a collision between two patrol cars Monday afternoon.
According to Lt. Tom Bryski, the two units were responding with lights and siren to a call at Sears and were traveling parallel to each other through the parking lot and collided when they reached the end of the row.
One deputy was treated at the scene and another was taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital for treatment. While his injuries are not life-threatening, he was kept overnight for observation.
