Local Nurse Gets Big Honor

The Association of California Nurse Leaders (ACNL) has recognized a nurse from Providence Holy Cross Medical Center.

Tim Gilmore received the Excellence in Nursing Leadership award for the South Region for his role in leading the ACNL’s Environmental Practice Committee for the last two years, and the development of a Healthy Work Environment Assessment Instrument.

The project created a tool for nursing leaders to assess and improve workplace practices in areas such as communication, mentoring and development.

Gilmore is currently the hospital’s Manager of Special Projects and Data support,
and in July will celebrate his 30th year with Providence.

He joined three other Providence nurses from around the state in receiving the designation at the ACNL’s Annual Conference in Rancho Mirage.
