Page 2 Stage Playwright’s Competition opens on Friday, August 17th, with a wine reception at 7:00pm and curtain at 8:00pm. The show will run through August 26. Show times are Friday and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm.

Tickets are only $10. Because this is a LIMITED ENGAGEMENT, advanced reservations are highly recommended. For tickets, please call the REP at 661-288-0000 or visit the website at www.repeastplayhouse.org.

Playing in tandem with Conflict will be a series of monologues and scenes written and performed by students from College of the Canyons Theatre Department.

Repertory East Playhouse Artistic Director, Ovington Michael Owston had this to say about the Page 2 Stage Playwright’s Competition, “This is truly a unique and inventive evening of theatre. At one point classics such as A Street Car Named Desire and Death of a Salesman were considered “new works”. You never know what can happen when a new piece of theatre finally reaches an audience. It’s a magical journey to watch unfold.”

The Page 2 Stage Playwright’s Competition falls under the critically acclaimed 81 Series and is designed to foster and enhance the skills of America ’s future scribes. The 81

Series is funded through a Community Services Grant by the City of Santa Clarita .

Directed by Keone Fuqua, who recently appeared in REP’s production of Shakespeare in the Park, Conflict features local talent Bill Quinn, Erin Rivlin-Sakata, Johnny Schwinn, Bonnie Sludikoff, Eric Stein and REP newcomer Jim Willsey. COC short pieces will feature Nolan LeGault, Sarah Oh, Ian Loveall, Brandon Pugmire, Timmy Jasperson and Andera Plaud.
