Local residents are invited to protest the proposed increase in sanitation fees with the Tea Party Patriots-SCV at 4:30 on Tuesday, July 27, in front of the Santa Clarita City Hall before the meeting of the Santa Clarita Valley Sanitation District.
Attendees are requested to bring signs expressing their feelings about the salt tax, as long as the signs stay on topic and are respectful.
“We are asking people to stay and speak during the meeting because the Sanitation Department will take into consideration what people say at the meeting.” adds Nancy Tujetsch, one of the founders of the Tea Party Patriots-SCV.

Tujetsch says that more than 34,000 signed protest forms are needed.
Tujetsch reports that studies show that the chloride level of the water coming into the SCV may already be as high or higher than the TMDL (Total Maximum Daily Load) which Tujetsch says begs the question, “Why should we be paying for cleaning water that is already coming to us with a problem?”
