Lt. Mark Hershey said that the new park has already been vandalized, so patrols have been stepped up in the area.
It was during one of these patrols that deputies found Elias Estanislao, 20, loitering near the park at closing time. A search of his background revealed that Estanislao had pending traffic warrants in the amount of $60,000 and he was arrested.
He was booked at the Santa Clarita Valley station, where he remains in custody in lieu of $60,000 bail.
