A lone gunman burst into Zoey Pharmacy around lunchtime Wednesday and demanded prescription drugs, fleeing the scene and remaining at large.
According to Lt. Mark Hershey, the suspect, described only as a male white, around 25 years of age with black hair and wearing a black hoodie, came into the pharmacy around 12:20 p.m. and flashed a chrome-colored handgun at the clerk.
No accomplice was observed in the store and the suspect was able to obtain an unknown amount of hydrocodone (Vicodin) before he fled the store.
He was last seen in a gray Toyota Camry, headed towards the 14 freeway. Anyone with further information on this case is asked to call the Santa Clarita Valley sheriff’s station.
