Some of the funds were allocated to:

  • About $300,000 will go to the County of Los Angeles, Department of Parks and Recreation for its Val Verde Park Pool Renovation Project. The park is located at 30300 Arlington Road in Val Verde.

“These grants reflect our ongoing commitment to supporting outstanding projects in the communities we serve, and helping ensure wide access to quality recreational opportunities,” said Los Angeles County Mayor Michael D. Antonovich. “Once completed, these initiatives will enrich lives for years to come.”
