Los Angeles County Officials Begin Mailing Sample Ballot Booklets

Registered voters from the Santa Clarita Valley can expect to receive their sample ballot booklets for the Los Angeles County Nov 4. general election over the next two weeks.

The Los Angeles County registrar-recorder and county clerk began mailing almost 5 million booklets to voters on Sept. 25, and mailings are set to continue through Oct. 14, according to a county news release.

Sample ballot booklets contain important election information, including candidates and measures that will appear on the ballot.

The back cover of the booklet also indicated the voter’s polling place location, as well as an application to request a Vote by Mail ballot for the election.

To receive the booklet, individuals must be registered to vote. To view sample ballot booklets, register to vote or check voter registration status, residents can visit the county’s website.

The mission of the registrar-recorder and county clerk is to serve Los Angeles County by providing essential records management and election services in a fair, accessible and transparent manner, according to the new release.
