Man Critically Injured In Hit-and-Run Incident Near Hart High

khts_crime_genericA 30-year old man walking across Newhall Avenue near 14th Street in front of Hart High School was hit by an unknown vehicle at approximately 5:20 a.m. and seriously injured. The driver fled the scene in an unknown direction.

 

Sgt. Ronald Price said that deputies were summoned to the scene by reports of a man laying on the ground. The victim suffered major head injuries and was treated at the scene by L.A. County Fire paramedics. He was then transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

The incident is being investigated by traffic detectives from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s station. Anyone with information should call Detective Maag at 661 799-5112.
