Man Injured In Fall from Hurricane Harbor Slide

By Carol Rock

A man was reportedly taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital after falling from a water slide at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Sunday afternoon. His condition is not known at this time.

Six Flags issued the following statement regarding the incident:

“At approximately 4:15 p.m., a 19-year-old male guest was injured on the speed slide, Venom Drop when he forced his way past park lifeguards and put himself and other guests at risk by going down the slide in the wrong position. The correct position for going down speed slides is feet first, with your ankles crossed and arms across your chest. Park medical staff and local paramedics were immediately called to the scene and the guest was transported to a local hospital.”
