An 18-year old man was stabbed Friday afternoon by two men who approached him near Sierra Vista Junior High School.

Sgt. Darren Harris of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s station said that the victim was walking westbound on Stillmore Street approaching Camp Plenty Road when he was approached by two men he didn’t know.

“He said that one of the men asked him ‘what’s up, fool,’ and used other gang-related slang before he took a swing at him and hit him in the head,” Harris said. “It caused him to stumble and the victim jumped back, but he wasn’t able to avoid being stabbed.”

The second suspect stabbed the victim in the abdomen before running with the first suspect eastbound on Stillmore towards Whites Canyon Road.

The victim ran westbound on Stillmore, calling 911.

Deputies arrived in the area and searched for the suspects, but were unable to find the suspects. The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics.

Sheriff’s detectives are continuing their investigation. The suspects are described as two male Hispanics between the ages of 17 and 19; the first suspect 5’6″ in height, weighing 180 pounds, the second 6’1″ in height weighing 190. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s COBRA detectives at 255-1121.
