The Santa Clarita Sheriff station is looking for a 2008 white Ford Ranger that was stolen from the SCV Senior Center Sunday.
At 6:20 a.m. Sunday morning, a woman noticed a man attempting to drive one of the center’s Home Delivered Meals trucks through a locked chain link fence.
The man drove the truck through the fence rendering the truck inoperable. He then got in another truck and drove off.
The trucks are used to deliver meals to home-bound citizens that have difficulty preparing their own meals.
The suspect is described as a white male, 20 to 30 years old with brown hair, 5’10” – 6’ tall and weighing 195 lbs. He drove off with the white Ford Ranger which had a food storage unit on the back of the truck.
The license plate on the truck is a CA Exempt plate 1310531. The truck will also have “SCV Senior Center” logo.
The truck was one of nine trucks the center uses for its food delivery service. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff station at (661) 255-1151.
