Bevy of options making education easier than ever.
Fall registration has now opened at College of the Canyons. And while students will begin pondering what courses they would like to study, they will also have to consider multiple ways to physically study.
College of the Canyons offers courses both online and in a traditional classroom setting. Online courses offer flexibility to students, many of whom are employed full time or have children. Teachers are available for questions via email, but testing and homework are all completed and/or turned in online.
While the internet classes have rapidly expanded over the last few years at College of the Canyons, so have the traditional classrooms. Students now have a choice between taking courses at the Valencia campus or the Canyon Country campus. Each location has tons of general education and specialized classes available.
Furthermore, students are able to enroll in full undergraduate, graduate and credential programs from a variety of universities, right on COC’s Valencia campus.
Not interested in a bachelors degree? The nursing programs and other related business training options have seen large growth as well. Usually, as the economy declines, the need for specialized workforce instruction increases. COC built an entire program for just such training, and they team up with local businesses on a regular basis to conduct training programs.
As registration for fall classes gets underway at College of the Canyons, rest assured it is not simply the standard, 18-22 year old that will be picking up the phone or hopping online to sign up. With the options available today, the community college has become a place where knowledge-hungry people of all ages can explore, start, or expand on a career.
