Marc Emmer Named To Facilities Foundation Board

Marc Emmer, immediate past president of the SCV School & Business Alliance, has been named to the board of the Santa Clarita Valley Facilities Foundation. The all-volunteer foundation is a non-profit public benefit corporation founded to provide financial assistance to the William S. Hart Union High School District in locating, acquiring and developing new school sites.

Emmer is a long-time supporter of youth in the local community. In addition to his two years as head of the School & Business Alliance, he has done extensive work for organizations such as Junior Achievement and the Boys & Girls Club. He also is a supporter of Special Olympics and Girl Scouts.

He is president of The SST Group, a management consulting firm specializing in strategic planning, sales productivity, customer service, executive coaching and leadership development. In 2003, Emmer was recognized by Loyola Marymount as winner of the university’s Entrepreneurial Excellence Award.

As president of the School & Business Alliance, he served as a liaison between education and business, opening doors for students and helping educators focus on the skills that are important to those who will be hiring their students in the future.

“Marc has many skills that will be valuable to the Facilities Foundation’s work,” commented President Rick Patterson. “I am especially impressed with his effort to bring people together to raise the general awareness of everyone's efforts to improve the quality of education in our valley.”
