In a unanimous vote by the council last night, Mayor Pro Tem Marsha McLean was voted in as Mayor, and Bob Kellar was made Mayor Pro Tem. Laurene Weste had served her year, and the city gave an emotional presentation to her, thanking her for all that she had done as the head of Santa Clarita.

The new job of Mayor for Marsha McLean began immediately, and she provided over the City Council meeting.

Her honor of being the new mayor may have been overshadowed by her first meeting though, as it was one that will most certainly go down in the history books.
