Two tractor-trailer rigs collided this morning (Thursday), setting off flames from hazardous materials, & creating a brush fire…shutting down Interstate 5 near Parker Road. Both directions of the 5 freeway were blocked in the Castaic area as police & fire crews attempted to get the scene under control.  Once the fire covering the trucks was put out, officials say the flames spread to nearby hills.  At this time we have no reports on injuries.
