Mayor Recognizes Employers For Hiring Special Needs Workers

Mayor Bob Kellar will preside over special luncheon honoring local employers.

Thirty-two local employers will be honored for their part in
building the self-esteem and confidence of special individuals at the Santa
Clarita Valley Mayor’s Committee for the Employment of Individuals With
Disabilities luncheon Thursday, hosted by Santa Clarita Mayor Bob Kellar.

The luncheon, which is being held at the Santa Clarita
Activities Center will feature keynote speakers Gloria Castaneda and Marcia de
Rousse on the topic “What you see is not always what you get: Can empathy and
business coexist?”

Businesses being recognized range from restaurants to retail
establishments and municipal services. They include the following:
