Three weeks before California primaries, McKeon pushing for Romney.

[view:node_ad=5]In a live interview on KHTS Tuesday Morning, Santa Clarita’s elected Congressional Representative Buck McKeon took time to discuss his support for Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

Citing his experience as a major cornerstone of his qualifications, McKeon has campaigned for Romney both locally and in other locations in the United States.

“If you follow what a person has done, you can find out if he’s a leader,” McKeon told KHTS. He had been referring to Romney’s credentials, which include his receiving a joint law degree/Masters in Business from Harvard, where he graduated cum laude.

Romney also served as the Governor of Massachusetts, where his campaign highlights successes in turning a 3 billion dollar deficit around. In addition, he served as head of the Salt Lake Olympics, taking over after the games had been marred by scandal and turning it around.  

“Everywhere he’s been, he’s been successful,” McKeon commented.

While McKeon called into KHTS just hours ahead of the Michigan primaries, the California predictions have already started to make news. CNN has reported on poll numbers that have John McCain in the lead for the GOP primary race in California with 20%. Mitt Romney appears to be in second place with 18%, followed by Rudy Giuliani (14%) and Mike Huckabee (13%). The race however, is very anybody’s guess, as the poll provides for a 6% margin of error.

As for Democrats in California, CNN is reporting numbers that put Hillary Clinton at the top of the race with 47%. Barack Obama is currently in second with 31%, while John Edwards brings up the rear with 10%.

The California primary race will be on February 5th.
