SCV representative takes issue with original plan.
[view:node_ad=5]Howard “Buck” McKeon, our Congressman in Santa Clarita,
issued a statement today regarding the ongoing mortgage company bailout discussions
in Washington DC.
The statement is as follows;
“My Republican colleagues and I have expressed serious
reservations regarding Secretary Paulson’s $700 billion financial market rescue
plan and continue to scrutinize the details. No one person is the decision
maker and you can be assured that it is very much a negotiated process. As
these negotiations continue, please know that House Republicans are prepared to
stay in Washington to forge an agreement on a proposal that reflects the
core free-market, pro-taxpayer principles of our Party.”
