McKeon To Host 9/11 Tribute

Rep. Howard P. "Buck" McKeon (R-CA) announced he will join with officials, residents and first responders from throughout the Santa Clarita area to hold a memorial commemorating the 5th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

"Five years ago the course of this nation’s history was changed forever.  It is a day that we cannot let pass.  It is a time to reflect on the terrible price that must often be paid for freedom, and to express our gratitude to those who risked their lives for their fellow citizens.  It is a day whose lessons we must never forget," said McKeon.

The event is scheduled for:

          Date:              Monday, September 11th

                                Time:              8:00 a.m. until 8:40 a.m.

Location:        L.A. County Fire Station #126

              26320 Citrus Street

              Santa Clarita, CA  91355

              (661) 254-9665

"Sometimes I fear that we will lose sight of the importance of what happened on September 11 and how it showed how priceless our freedom truly is.  We can never let that happen and I hope everyone will come to this event to express their gratitude to the heroes of that day, and to show that America will never surrender to terrorism and tyranny," added McKeon.
