Congressman will be part of Eternal Valley tribute and Belcaro residents visit.

Congressman Howard "Buck" McKeon will be in Santa Clarita for two Memorial Day observances; he will participate in a veterans tribute beginning at 10 a.m. Monday at Eternal Valley  and will visit veterans at the Belcaro Senior Citizens Home later in the day.

He issued the following statement in honor of Memorial Day:

“This weekend, we take time on Memorial Day to honor all of the men and women in the military who have given their lives for this blessed country. I encourage everyone to please take a moment on Memorial Day to pause and thank those brave soldiers who died to keep this country free. Because of them, our generation and those that follow will have the opportunity to live the American Dream.

“As a nation, we have prospered because we’ve always had citizens willing to stand up and answer the call in times of danger. Our national resolve has been expressed by the millions who have worn the military uniform of the United States of America.

May God bless all of you on this wonderful day of remembrance.”
