Median Project Approved On Pico Canyon

To enhance the appearance of roadway medians, the Board of Supervisors has unanimously approved a roadway median project for Pico Canyon Road in Stevenson Ranch, between Whispering Oaks Road and Stevenson Ranch Parkway, announced Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.

The project involves contracting for the landscaping of roadway medians, including planting of trees, shrubs, and ground cover, construction of concrete pavement and concrete maintenance paths, and installation of an automatic irrigation system.  The project is estimated to cost between $370,000 and $475,000.

The project is to be completed in 45 working days, with an estimated start date in October and completion in December 2005.  Local residents and businesses will be informed that traffic and local access will be mildly disrupted during the construction.
