Metrolink Line To Undergo Maintenance

Service to be interrupted while crews are working on the railroad.

Santa Clarita residents are advised that Metrolink maintenance crews will be performing work on tracks along the Antelope Valley Line at the end of the month.  The track maintenance activities will include the removal and replacement of crossties, rail, and concrete panels at the railroad crossing at Canyon Park between Jakes Way and Jason Drive.

Work is expected to begin on Saturday evening, January 30th at 6:00 p.m. and continue through Sunday January 31st until 6:00 p.m. The railroad crossing will be completely closed during this time.

The work will involve the use of heavy machinery, causing vibrations and bright lights during evening and early morning hours. There will be noise from back-up alarms as well as dust in the immediate vicinity. Signage is in place to direct vehicles and pedestrians to the appropriate detour route.

If you have any questions about the work, please contact the Metrolink Community Relations Office at (213) 452-0288 or lopezl@scrra.net.
