At the event, teams and individuals will participate to raise awareness and funds to support the Michael Hoefflin Foundation.
The Michael Hoefflin Foundation was established in 1994 in honor of a young boy named Michael Hoefflin, who had recurrent brain cancer, according to the foundation’s website.
During his struggle, his parents, family, friends and neighbors, rallied together and pledged to become a positive force in the discovery of cures for all children with cancer.
The Foundation was created with the desire to help all children with cancer, using Michael’s kind spirit and compassion for others as a guide.
Information about the third annual event is available at the foundation’s website, where there’s also registration available, as well as more information about the walk portion of the event.
All walk registrations are $25 for adults and children. Check in begins at 8 a.m., and the program begins at 9 a.m.
