Michelle Steel, the vice chair of the California State Board of Equalization, will be the featured keynote speaker at the Women’s Conference July 23 at University of Antelope Valley. The event, sponsored by local Congressmen Buck McKeon and Kevin McCarthy of Bakersfield, is themed “Living with Purpose and serves as a community outreach and resource for women in and around the Antelope and Santa Clarita Valleys.
“We are looking forward to hosting Michelle and the other tremendous speakers for this year’s women’s conference,” said McKeon. “Michelle, the daughter of a Korean immigrant and a woman who has successfully distinguished herself as a dedicated public servant, has truly achieved the American Dream. She will surely be an inspiration to attendees at the conference.”
