She was also honored with the Trailblazer Award (“awarded to the trusted advisor who started a new enterprise, was the first to try something new and or who led the industry or profession forward”) – presented to Ms. Gurney in recognition of her involvement in the founding of Mission Valley Bank as well as the bank’s growth & success during its first 10 years of operation.
“When Mission Valley Bank first opened its doors in 2001 it was with the vision of creating a strong business bank that was more about the client and the community – and less about the bank. I am more than a little humbled to have been selected for both of these awards, particularly in light of the tremendous caliber of the other nominees,” Gurney said.
