Monopoly Mania!

Help to bridge the gap between school and careers.

Spring has sprung and so have hundreds of Santa Clarita juniors as they look for opportunities in the community to connect what they are learning in the classroom with the "real world".

Launching on Groundhog Day and throughout the school year, job shadowing provides high school students with community connections in every industry field.  Several high schools in the Wm. S. Hart District have actually made job shadowing and internships part of the curriculum.  And it's a win-win for local businesses who are looking for opportunities to groom their future workforce.

Job shadow students need you! Three or four hours of your time can make a huge impact on a student's career path.  Many of us have had mentors that have helped us navigate our journey.  The Alliance can make it easy for you to make the same investment in local students.

To sign up, visit and register as an "Employer".  You can then post opportunities to host a job shadow or intern, or even sign up to be a Guest Speaker at a school.

You can change the life of student!

Together, we can help students become 21st century adults!

SCV Monopoly Mania 3 will be held on May 12, 2007. The emcee of the evening will be Chris Schauble, Co-Anchor, NBC4 – Today in L.A.

Be a kid for a night and help us raise funds for school-to-career programs like job shadowing, internships, Educators in Industry, and SCV Career Central.  It's a gala evening of fun, sumptuous food and fierce competition.
