Several teachers were honored March 21 at a Teacher Tribute
sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The teachers were
selected because they had made a positive influence on a senior Mormon student’s
life.
Assemblyman Cameron Smyth and Santa Clarita Councilman Bob
Kellar were among the dignitaries there to thank the teachers for their
dedication and service.
“It was so nice to be a part of the Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter Day Saints Teacher Tribute where students came forward to share their
experiences and appreciation for local teachers,” Kellar said. “The teachers in
Santa Clarita have the great responsibility of preparing our young for their
futures and they do a great job.”
