Accident causes southbound lane closure.

A motorcyclist crashed at about 3:15 p.m. Sunday while traveling on the southbound I-5 just north of Valencia Blvd.

The accident caused the full closure of the #1 lane, and a SigAlert to be issued for the southbound I-5.

The roadway was cleared by 3:46 p.m. and the SigAlert has been lifted.

The motorcyclist was transferred to the hospital, however their condition is not known at this time. The injuries are not believed to be fatal at this time.
