A small fire that started with a disabled motorhome caused a brief closure of the northbound 14 freeway at Ward Road this afternoon.
According to the CHP, the motorhome broke down and began to burn on the right shoulder at 12:58 p.m. Embers drifted to the center divider, where brush began to burn, forcing the closure of all northbound traffic.

Los Angeles County Fire officials said that the fire was contained to three-quarters of an acre. Lanes began reopening around 1:30 p.m.
