Mountasia to Promote Safe Teenage Driving

Mike Fleming, managing partner of Mountasia Fun Center on Soledad, along with his staff, have created a safe driving awareness program for teenagers….

Fleming is tired of hearing about the newest statistic of a teen death on Santa Clarita roads.

The program, “Stay Alive on the Drive,” which runs weekdays, asks teen drivers to sign an agreement to follow 10 driving points, including obeying traffic laws and wearing a seat belt.

Students who participate in the program weat a plastic wristband, which allows them to get discounts and free goodies from local merchants, including free games at Mountasia, hamburgers and ice cream, buy-one-get-one-free bowling games, and more.

More on this new program can be found in the front page article in today’s Signal.
