New 25Score Card Just The Prescription For Pharmacy Savings

25score-logoSince 1989 consumers have seen the signs on businesses throughout the Santa Clarita Valley proclaiming their establishment accepts the 25Score card, but you haven’t seen them posted on pharmacies — until now.

The new 25Score card now features pharmacy savings codes on the back. According to 25Score Card officials a member will now simply bring their prescription and 25Score Card to Rite-Aid, CVS, Wal Mart, Sams Club, Target, Savon and other participating large chains and independent pharmacies and receive up to 75% off on prescriptions.

“It does help the people that are not on a great medical plan that have a huge deductible,” said 25Score President Ed Bernstein.

A redesigned 25Score website allows members to check what their pharmacy savings could be.

“You just type in your prescription, the name of the drug, it will tell you what you should be paying and what you would be paying if you did a generic or used our card,” Bernstein said.

Bernstein says the pharmacy benefits will move 25Score Card beyond the boundaries of public perception.

“People probably first think of 25Score for food and entertainment but we have over 500 merchants who offer services including cars, psychotherapy, painting, plumbing. You virtually can save 10 – 50% on almost every purchase you can make,” said Bernstein.

Bernstein is proud to have been a member of 25Score Card for 17 years before becoming the third owner in November of 2009. He says he completely understands the mission of the company and what is should be from the member and merchant side.

“I was a merchant for 10 years with my phone company and I didn’t see the traction I would have liked to see. So I’m changing the way people look at the card to look for anything they may be buying with 25Score and try to buy local,” said Bernstein.

Besides the new pharmacy benefits Bernstein is preparing to launch a passport book similar to what 25Score Card did in the past with their directory.

“But the (new) directory will have interactive features to drive traffic directly to the listing for that merchant and we’ll be able to track the results so we’ll know whether or not it’s working,” Bernstein said.
