New Bus To Shuttle SCV To Palmdale Airport

Antonovich praises the new shuttle system.

[view:node_ad=5]Tomorrow afternoon, Los Angeles County SupervisorMichael Antonovich will reveal a new shuttle bus called thePalmdale Flyer. The Flyer will begin shuttle service from the VanNuys FlyAway station and the Via Princessa Metrolink station, tothe Palmdale Airport.

 

Similar to the FlyAway, the Palmdale Flyerhopes to make it more convenient for passengers to utilize thePalmdale Airport, which makes two daily flights to San FranciscoInternational.

 

“L.A./Palmdale Airport is the future economic hub of thehigh desert in the heart of the fastest-growing area in Californiaand will generate future development, interstate commerce, jobcreation and an estimated $65 million in economic benefit to thecommunity,” Antonovich said in a prepared statement. “A dedicated bus service will be an additional transportationalternative for air travelers of L.A./Palmdale Airport to avoid thelong check-in lines and traffic congestion of LAX.”

 

The Flyer will be unveiled at the Antelope Valley Board of TradeOutlook Conference Friday.

 

According to Antonovich’s office, the Flyer iscollaboration between Antonovich, the Los Angeles County Departmentof Public Works, Antelope Valley Transit Authority, City ofPalmdale, Los Angeles World Airports, and United Airlines.
