New line of public transportation vehicles will be unveiled at August 7th.
[view:node_ad=5]In response to overcrowding, the City of Santa Clarita has introduced a new line of buses. These new vehicles have a carrying capacity of about one hundred passengers, and will be painted the city’s colors, blue and green.
Alisha Celestine, a city coordinator, says that these buses will come in handy in the fall. “Many of the buses that had a junior high or high school route were overcrowded, but, the new “bendy buses” will be great when the kids come out of school.”
The official unveiling ceremony will be held on August 7th, at 10:00 a.m., at the Transit Maintenance Facility, located at 28250 Constellation Road, Santa Clarita, CA 91355.
Some of these sixty-foot long buses will be on the streets after the unveiling ceremony, but most of them will be introduced throughout the year.
The city is also in need of 50 teenage volunteers for a photo shoot, which will take place at the unveiling.
