For Santa Clarita Valley residents and business owners interested in learning more about the chloride issue affecting the community and the future challenges of water resources and water quality, the Newhall County Water District is hosting two sessions with attorney Mark Rentz on Tuesday at their office on Pine Street in Newhall.

Rentz formerly worked with the Association of California Water Agencies and is well versed “total maximum daily load” and other water regulations
He will give a brief presentation on the concept of forming a water coalition and the complex decisions the Santa Clarita Valley will face regarding water quality. The session will then be open to questions and discussion.
The two sessions will be identical and open to any interested parties at 10:15 a.m. and at 1:15 p.m. No RSVP is required, and light refreshments will be served.
