A Newhall man shifted his plea from innocent to no contest in the case in which he was charged for raping an Iraq war veteran….

Roberto Magana, 25, was sentenced by Superior Court Judge Shari K. Silver to 18 years, rather than life with the possibility of parole, which would have been the sentence if he maintined his innocence and was convicted.
