Newhall units help AV Sheriff catch car thief.

Newhall area California Highway Patrol officers went in
pursuit of a stolen car and its driver Sunday night after a request for help
from the Antelope Valley
sheriff’s office.

According to Officer Michelle Esposito, the call for
assistance came in at 9:42 p.m. from
the AV sheriff’s office, where deputies were in pursuit of a stolen green Pontiac.
Newhall officers picked up the pursuit at the southbound 14 just south of Agua
Dulce Canyon Road and continued to follow the car
at speeds between 75 and 110 MPH.

The pursuit continued to the eastbound 60 freeway in the East
Los Angeles area, where Downey
units took over.

The East LA CHP office handled the conclusion and arrest of
the suspect.
