On March 10 & 24, 2008, the Betty Ferguson Foundation was featured on the KHTS Non-Profit Spotlight, which is hosted by Janice Murray . The Non-Profit Spotlight airs every Monday and Friday at 10AM on AM-1220 KHTS.
The Betty Ferguson Foundation, an organization that is committed to supporting and promoting personal and professional growth in women and teen girls – was established in 1998.
Betty Ferguson was the mother of Judy Cox, one of the foundation's founding members. Shortly after Betty passed away in 1996, Judy was going through her mother’s finances, and discovered that Betty gave her money to women and youth organizations. She lived a simple life, not giving to herself but to others.
Today, The Betty Ferguson Foundation serves our community by hosting and providing monthly women’s and teen girl’s meetings, workshops, seminars, and a book club. The foundation continues to support fellow non-profit organizations and provide educational scholarships to College of the Canyons, here in the Santa Clarita Valley.
Mark you calendar for Sunday, April 6, 2008. Vine 2 Wine – A “Sunday Casual” Wine and Food Tasting Event – will be held at Bridgeport Lake Club in Valencia. All proceeds go to benefit their women and youth programs.
The Betty Ferguson Foundation will be hosting their 8th Annual Woman of the Year Dinner, September 20, 2008, at the Hyatt Valencia. This award is given to women who sincerely desire to help others reach their highest potential. Liz Siepel – CEO of the Child & Family Center will be this year’s honoree.
Betty Ferguson Foundation relies on the generosity of individuals and corporate supporters to provide the funding necessary to host seminars and workshops for women and teen girls.
