On November 19, 2007, we were pleased to feature Providence Holy Cross Health at the KHTS Community Resource Station. Providence Holy Cross volunteer Lorrie Vavek and Dr. Amy Goff, were our guest for the KHTS Non-Profit Spotlight hosted by Janice Murray and sponsored by Valencia Acura .
Lorrie Vavek volunteers her time in the emergency room at providence and continues to find the work she does very rewarding. She is retired and enjoys helping out at Providence.
Dr. Goff is board certified in family practice. She is currently practicing at Health Care Partners Medical Group in Valencia with Dr. Avinash Gururaja, MD. She spoke of the preventative vaccine Gardasil that can reduce the risk of certain types of HPV, which can lead to cervical cancer later in life.
