During the week of April 2, 2012, at the KHTS Community Resource Station, we featured  Providence Holy Cross to the KHTS Non-Profit Spotlight.

The KHTS Non-Profit Spotlight, hosted by Janice Murray , airs Mondays at 10AM on AM-1220 KHTS.

Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, strategically located near the intersections of the 405, 5, 118 and 210 freeways serves both the North San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys. As a 377-bed, not-for-profit facility, we offer a full continuum of health care, from inpatient and outpatient services to home health care, health education and community outreach programs.

Providence Holy Cross provides high quality specialty services and has won several prestigious awards including the Magnet Designation for excellence in nursing services. This Magnet Recognition Program®, awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, is an impressive and important designation, bestowing national recognition on our hospital. This year they are celebrating twenty-five years of Trauma Center as one of only two hospitals in the San Fernando Valley with a Level II Trauma Center designation, verified by the American College of Surgeons.

Their Chest Pain Center ranks in the top ten percent nationally for consistently performing angioplasty within 90 minutes of a patient’s arrival, meeting the guidelines established by the American Heart Association. As a result, Providence Holy Cross is an ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) Receiving Center approved by the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services. As a leader in cardiac and thoracic surgery, Providence Holy Cross also was named one of Los Angeles County’s first designated receiving centers for victims of severe heart attacks. Their Cancer Centers’ five-year survival rates for patients treated for various cancers surpass national averages. Their new imaging center further enhances the ability of physicians and clinical staff to offer state-of-the-art diagnosis and treatment for a variety of illnesses. For more than 45 years, the doctors, nurses and staff of Providence Holy Cross have been recognized for their commitment to excellent patient care.
