Students from a several Castaic middle schools left the History Day contest in San Diego with top honors….

Winners included fifth grader Breana David from Northlake Hills Elementary School, who won the top prize in her grade level.

Joseph Charles and Elston He, of Castaic Middle School placed third in the competition.

This year’s theme is “Communication in History:  The Key to Understanding.”
