The Amgen Tour of California is only a month away. Tour officials have announced that race merchandise for the 2011 Amgen Tour of California is now available for purchase on the race website, www.amgentourofcalifornia.com.

The online store, which is available 24/7, is the place for fans and cycling enthusiasts to gear up for this year’s race, which takes place over eight consecutive days from May 15-22, covering nearly 800 miles of scenic California roadways, highways and coastlines.

Official race merchandise of the 2011 Amgen Tour of California includes something for everyone – from official race leader jerseys, outerwear, hats, collectables and more. Each year the race creates and produces new merchandise with new designs for men, women and children, and they are only available while supplies last.

“We are very excited to release the official race merchandise for the 2011 Amgen Tour of California,” said Sean Ryan of AEG Merchandise. “The top selling items are always the official jerseys, especially the leader jersey. The race leader jersey is a long-standing tradition for professional cycling races, so sporting one is a great way to support the race and cyclists.”

For the third year in a row, Hincapie Sportswear has been named the official jersey supplier for the Amgen Tour of California and will produce specially designed jerseys awarded to riders who excel each stage in certain classifications.
