Officials Investigate Suspected Overdose At Bouquet Canyon Park

Medical examiners are working to determine the cause of death for a man in his 20s who was found dead at Bouquet Canyon Park.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to a report of a body being found in the restroom of the facility, which is near Bouquet and Plum canyon roads, shortly before 8 p.m., according to Sheriff’s station officials.

Medical personnel arrived on scene and tried for about a half-hour to resuscitate the man, whose identity was not released by the Coroner’s Office.

Drug paraphernalia was found at the scene, according to Sheriff’s Station officials. The man is suspected to have died from an overdose.

The man was not identified pending next of kin notification.

Homicide officials said medical examiners are handling the cause of death determination, as foul play is not suspected at this time.
