The 66th annual Our Lady of Perpetual Help Barbecue Fair is just around the corner, and this year’s theme is “Route 66: Coming Home to OLPH.”  

The event, which runs September 17-19, will feature game booths, an antique car show, live music and other entertainment, rides, a raffle drawing, a silent and live auction.   There will also be an array of international food, including our famous American barbecue ribs, hamburgers and hotdogs, authentic Italian sausage, Filipino cuisine, Mexican tacos and churros, and a variety of other tasty desserts.

Beer, wine and margaritas will be available for the adults, and the kids can have fun with face painting, game booths, soda fountain and ice cream. This year’s kiddie rides include the Helicopter, Merry-Go-Round, Bulgy the Whale and the Mega Loop. Adults can ride the Ferris Wheel, Super Slide, Sizzler and Rock-O-Plane, or they can play “Let it Roll” or “50/50 raffle”.

This year’s raffle will include a grand prize of six nights in Maui including hotel, airfare and car rental valued at $2,500.00. Visit us at the parish church or call us to get your raffle tickets.  

The Barbecue Fair is the primary fundraising event for Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Santa Clarita, and it is also a great opportunity for you to get to know your neighbors.  

The fair kicks off from 6 to 11 p.m., Friday, September 17 at OLPH, at 23233 Lyons Ave. in Newhall. On Saturday, the event runs from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
