One Suspect In Canyon Country Gang Stabbing Arrested After Warrant Search

khts_crimeA suspect has been arrested in relation to a July 2 gang-related stabbing on Wellhaven Drive in Canyon Country.

Detectives from the Santa Clarita Valley station’s COBRA unit served search warrants on two locations this morning, finding and arresting Adrian Arellano at his home on Wellhaven Drive.

A second suspect, Daniel Luna, 23, was not home when detectives arrived and is still wanted for questioning.

The pair were allegedly involved in a stabbing that happened on Wellhaven Drive last Friday night, where a victim was beaten and stabbed with a four-inch knife. His current condition is unknown, but at the time of the incident, his injuries were not considered life-threatening. For the original story, click here.

Lt. Mark Hershey said that Arellano, 27, is being held at the Santa Clarita Valley station in lieu of $30,000 bail, on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Hershey said that Arellano is not thought to be the one wielding the knife during the fight. He is due to appear in court on Thursday.

Anyone with information as to the wherabouts of Daniel Luna is asked to call the Santa Clarita Valley station’s detective bureau.
