Five named by Santa Clarita City Council at Tuesday meeting.

The people voted for Open Space and on Tuesday night, the City Council appointed five watchdogs to the Open Space Audit Panel.

Appointees include KHTS’s own SCV Outdoor Reporter Wendy Langhans, accountant Calvin Hedman, Canyon Country activist Alan Ferdman, communications specialist Spencer Leafdale and retired scientist Henry Shultz.

The group serves in an advisory capacity to the council to ensure financial oversight of monies approved by voters who passed the Open Space initiative in June 2007.
