Outlets At Tejon Partners With Boys & Girls Club Of Santa Clarita, The Painted Turtle

Officials from the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita and the Painted Turtle children’s camp are partnering with the Outlets at Tejon, a retail destination set to open in August, for a fundraising event, officials announced Monday.

Outlet officials are planning a pre-opening night VIP party on August 6 to raise up to $100,000 to support local charities. Santa Clarita residents can purchase tickets for $25 from the Boys & Girls Club or the Painted Turtle for exclusive access to the outlets and an invitation-only VIP party, according to an outlet news release.

“The work that the Painted Turtle and the Boys & Girls Club do for the youth of the Santa Clarita community and beyond is inspiring,” said Hugh McMahon, senior vice president of commercial and industrial real estate for Tejon Ranch Co. “We’re thrilled to partner with these extraordinary organizations and excited to welcome the Santa Clarita community to celebrate with us as we launch the center.”

Ticketholders will be the first to shop before the outlets officially open to the public the following day, and attendees will also be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a number of  prizes that will be given away at the VIP party.

All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the organization from which it was purchased.

The Painted Turtle provides a free year-round camp for seriously ill children, allowing children to participate in an authentic camp experience while supporting their medical needs and offering their families care, education and respite, officials said.

“The Painted Turtle is honored by the support offered by Tejon Ranch to the amazing children we serve,” said Blake Maher, the camp’s executive director. “The Ranch’s commitment to creating positive change in the local area embodies the true meaning of partnership and community spirit.”

The Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita addresses the need for high-quality, affordable programs and facilities for the young people of the Santa Clarita Valley by offering tutoring, homework assistance, computer training, sports, social recreation, education, mentoring, arts and crafts and more.

The Outlets at Tejon are a 320,000 square-foot “upscale” outlet center located off Interstate 5 between Los Angeles and Bakersfield, and offer a “high profile” line-up of tenants like a Nike Factory Store, the only current Pottery Barn Outlet store in California, H&M, Calvin Klein and more, according to the news release.

To purchase tickets for the fundraiser, call the Painted Turtle at 310-451-1353 or the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita at 661-254-3063.
